The new kitchen was planned to optimize entertaining, split in half between cooking and bar area. The bar area then directly connects to the rest of the living and dining spaces on the first floor of the apartment.

What was once the Dining Room, has now become a central entraining space. One of the biggest upgrades to the apartment is the new central air system, its air ducts meticulously designed into the new light cove in the ceiling.

The upper level of the apartment was redesigned as an escape from the hustle and bustle, complete with a new primary suite and guest rooms. We also managed to fit in an office space and laundry area, which the apartment lacked before the renovation.

Gramarcy Park Duplex

Working closely with the owner who’s lived in the apartment their whole life, we explored what it meant to rejuvenate without removing its classic New York charm whose walls hold countless family memories.
